From the Chief's Desk
August 2021 - It is with distinct honor and humility that I have been selected for the position of Fire Chief for the French Camp McKinley Fire District. My beginnings in the fire service started right after I completed my commitment with the U.S. Army when I became a volunteer with the Ripon Consolidated Fire District in August of 1995. In 2001 I was hired as a Firefighter with Ripon and served 20 years to the community I grew up in since 1972. The most gratifying part of being appointed to the Fire Chief position by the French Camp Fire Board has been the incredible outpouring of support from peers, family and current members of this organization. I am excited to continue my fire service career as the French Camp McKinley Fire District's Fire Chief.
Since 1946, the French Camp McKinley Fire District personnel have maintained a high level of customer service in their community. As the new Fire Chief, I will encourage our organization to maintain professionalism and continue to provide services to our communities through commitment, technology, and the highest level of training that we can provide to our members.
It will be my personal commitment to the residents of the French Camp McKinley Fire District, residents of Mountain House, and the surrounding communities that the FCFD will always answer the call for service. We will continue to build our staffing, resource deployment, training, emergency preparedness and communication systems. My primary role as the new Fire Chief will be to encourage and inspire, moving the department forward as a cohesive team, and ensuring that we maintain the highest level of professional service to our communities. I am extremely grateful and excited for this opportunity to service as your Fire Chief.
