Board of Directors
The French Camp McKinley Fire District is governed by a five-member Fire Board. The terms are four years with staggered terms. The Fire Board consists of five locally elected officials; any resident of the French Camp McKinley Fire District can run for a Board of Director seat. Elections are held every two years on the even years; one election is for two seats, and the next election is for three seats. The Board of Directors is the elected policy-making body for the French Camp McKinley Rural Fire Protection District. The Board of Directors provide financial oversight and strategic policy direction to maximize the public value of the French Camp McKinley Rural Fire Protection District's services, they oversee the Fire District as a collective group.
Interested individuals from the public are invited to attend and participate at our Board of Directors' Meetings. Furthermore, anyone from the public can also bring up items not included on the agenda during the "Public Comments" portion of the meeting; usually at the beginning of our Board of Directors' meetings. Action cannot be taken by Board members on these items at that meeting. Please be advised that if a lengthy discussion or particular action is necessary, the item may be placed on a future agenda.
