James Larry Lee
Larry Lee has lived in French Camp his entire life. He attended French Camp School and East Union High School.
Larry was hired by PG&E in 1983 as a temporary helper. He attended many courses over the years to learn how to operate all types of Heavy Equipment and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years. He specialized in Backhoe Operation. He was promoted To Working Foreman and then promoted to Working Leader which is his current position held.
Larry joined the French Camp First Department in May of 1986 as a Reserve Firefighter and later was promoted to Reserve Captain. He served the Reserve organization for 28 years and was honored as Firefighter of the Year in 1989 and 1998. He became a member of the Fire Board of Directors in 2015.
Larry has been a leader in the community and served as a 4-H swine leader for 14 years, helping kids to purchase, raise, and sell their swine project at the county fair each year.
Larry was awarded the French Camp Man of the Year by the French Camp Chamber of Commerce in 2000.
Larry has been married to his wife Serina for 38 years. They have 2 sons, 1 daughter and 8 grandchildren.
