S. Daniel Rego
Daniel Rego grew up in Manteca and attended San Joaquin Delta College after high school. He obtained his Associate in Science in Law Enforcement in 2012. He then self-sponsored himself through the San Joaquin Delta College Police Academy. In 2013 he was hired as a Reserve Officer by the Ione Police Department in Amador County.
In 2014 he was hired as a full time Police Officer where he served as a Field Training Officer, Taser instructor, Bicycle Patrol Officer, and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).
In 2022 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal and he oversees Volunteer Patrol Officers (VIPS) and is a shift supervisor.
Daniel has received several awards during his career including Officer of the Year in 2016 and the VFW Law Enforcement Award in 2023. He has lived in French Camp since 2017 with his wife Amanda and he is excited to serve as a Director for French Camp McKinley Fire Protection District.
